Food: share more, waste less
The photo for this post was done in Tbilisi, Georgia (Sakartvelo) in the city center near the big and famous hotel with restaurant. I remember very well that the picture of the food in the waste bin impressed me significantly. That gives me a courage and inspiration to write this post.
In a world where the demand for food continues to rise, the issue of food waste is demanding urgent attention. Can you imagine? One-third of the world’s food is lost or wasted annually. The food discarded each year could feed the population of India and the United States combined.
I am sure that food waste is the key element in building a circular economy. It’s great that in our days more and more food waste prevention projects appear around the world. Share with you some of them for the dozen of inspiration.
